WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY TO SHOW OUR "HURRICANE PRIDE"

Dear Northeast Alumni,

At the 2015 Reunion, we announced some exciting news about an important new initiative created to help provide educational opportunities for future graduates of Northeast High School.

The Richard and Mary Ann Cook Business Scholarship Fund at Florida Atlantic University has been established in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the first graduating class of Northeast High. Both Dick and Mary Ann were members of the Northeast class of 1965 and also went on to graduate from the College of Business at FAU.

This fund was created to support needs-based scholarships for undergraduate students majoring in business and who are graduates of Northeast High School. As a permanent endowment, the fund will last in perpetuity to provide educational opportunities to those who may not otherwise be able to afford to attend college.

FAU has grown over the years into a highly respected state university that is readily available to local residents. This scholarship will create hope and opportunity for Northeast High School graduates. We believe it is one of the best ways to invest in the future of our country."

I know it would be very meaningful if you would help support this effort. It's time for those of us that are able and have had help somewhere along the way  to "Pay it Forward". The fund has been started with an initial underwriting from the Cooks. The goal is to raise an additional $25,000 to add to their gift. Your contribution will create a lasting legacy for generations of Northeast High graduates for decades to come. Let's all get our "HURRICANE PRIDE" in gear and help FAU reach this very attainable goal as quickly as possible.
